Bus service is not provided for regular education students living within 2 miles of the school in a non-hazardous area. Registration for the 2010/11 school year will be held August 10, 12, 13, 17, 18, at all schools. Hours are from 8 to 11 and 1 to 3. Visit your campus website or contact your school for further information. For the 2010-11 school year, children entering the first grade must be six years old on or before September 1, 2010, and children entering kindergarten for the first time must be five years old on or before September 1, 2010. Cypress-Fairbanks I.S.D. offers full-day kindergarten on all campuses.
Since Prekindergarten is a state funded, half-day program, Cy-Fair ISD must follow the regulations set by the Texas Education Agency to determine who qualifies. To be eligible for this program, your child must be 4 years of age by September 1, 2010. No exceptions will be made.
To register, parents or guardians must furnish the school with the following items:
- A certified birth certificate from the Bureau of Vital Statistics.
- A current immunization record.
- Proof of residency-the lease agreement, a contract on a house, or a current utility bill which includes a gas or electric bill but NOT a telephone bill.
- Photo ID of parent or guardian (A parent or guardian must sign the application.)
- Social Security card for the child, if available.
